Martin Matuška (mm@FreeBSD.org) has been a FreeBSD commiter since 2007 and is currently actively involved in the FreeBSD ZFS development. He is running a small system design and system administration company VX Solutions s.r.o. in Bratislava, Slovakia.
Since 2007 FreeBSD includes a port of the CDDL-licensed filesystem ZFS, obtained from the OpenSolaris Caiman Project. ZFS is still under active development and has undergone many structural and functional changes. This talk will give a look at ZFS's new features, the policies on importing bugfixes and new features and the possible future of FreeBSD's ZFS in general.
